Fellow Car Guys-
I heard this story from a friend of mine who swears he read it in the paper,
so it MUST be true.
Seems there was a fellow back on the East coast somewhere, drivin down the
road at a moderate rate, minding his own business. Another fella comes up
behind him, wants to go faster, flashes his lights etc, but the first driver
doesn't get out of the way, or go any faster. (I think we have all been in
this posistion and can understand how the guy in the following car would
feel) So, the fella in the second car comes up behind the first driver and
bangs on his rear bumper and spins the first guy out. As the poor guy is
spinning around, he gets the lic plate number of the offending car and
reports it. Come to find out, the car belongs to Richard Petty, The King of
NASCAR. (Certainly a guy who would know how to spin a car out of his way).
Now we get to a major dilemma in my mind...do you:
a) Call Allstate to get the dent in the back of your Buick fixed ?
OR
b) Leave the dent in there, call Richard and have him come over and
autograph it and maintain bragging rights? (What, oh that dent....that's
where Richard Petty spun me out.)
Somehow, in my mind at least, the price-o-that-Buick, just went up...
