Quick and easy check: ( 1 can do, but assistant helps)
1) depress clutch to move crankshaft fully forward.
2) lever against front pulley with large screwdriver or similar.
3) note how far crankshaft moves rearward (can be measured w/dial guage)
4) repeat steps 1-3 as often as you like ;-)
I don't have the endfloat spec. handy, but IMHO it's on the order of
the thickness of your thumb nail.
