HI,

I recently purchased a 72 GT6 in kit form. (Two previous owners
started restorations but never finished.) My first task is to
reassemble the gear box.
The gear box mainshaft was broken at the driveshaft coupling.
The previous owner bought a replacement shaft (ordered from
British Victoria part #2-8013), but it is not quite the same as
the original. The new shaft has a slightly larger diameter at the driveshaft
end and the splines that fit into the drive shaft coupling are different.
The old shaft has 10 splines and the new shaft has 20 splines.

If I can find a drive shaft coupler and a new speedometer drive
gear to fit on the new shaft I think everything else will work.
Does anybody know which coupling and speedo gear I need, or
better yet does anybody have these?

Thanks
