Yes indeed.  Get the REAL hog ring pliers if you ever (or enyone else ever) 
does this again.  I did; and I'm not sorry I spent the $9.  Saved mre ore time 
that that.


They have special little grooves to hold the ring and an adjustable stop to 
limit the closing (so you don't pinch your hog's nose...)

You should be able to get them at any big hardware store or farm supply/feed 
store.

Do NOT get the $3.00 cheapo set (pliers plus rings) from the auto-parts store; 
it's nearly worthless.
