Hello All,
I'm planning a trip to the USA in October to visit some
relatives and see some sights there. We'll be out there for 3 weeks from
the 4th spending some time with my relatives in Arlington VA. and some
time touring around.
It would be nice if possible to visit some Triumph events while
we're out there.
I'd love go to to Triumphest, but even my limited knowledge of the
geography of the States tells me that this is impractical!
On the events list that came out earlier in the year I spotted a
couple of events that may be in range, namely the British Car Festival at
Waynesboro on the 6-8th of October, and possibly the South Central
British Car Gathering in Charlotte, NC. on the 13th - 15th. Does anyone
have any info on these? Is anyone from the list going? Is there anything
else going on that might be worth a visit?
Also, (apologies for blatant non lbc content) does anyone have experience
or knowledge of car hire over there? Is it better to book one this side
of the Atlantic or to wait till we get there? Are there any pitfalls to
look out for?
