Hello !
So, I'm working on the Spitfire and for some reason I start to stare
at the steering rack. There are 4 fairly heavy gauge wires (electrical)
attached to it. Now I've seen this a million times before but never
wondered why until tonite. Haynes & Bently books don't have much
to offer on the subject, except remove wires when removing rack.
Does anyone know why these wires are connected to the rack?
I suspect other LBC's have the same arrangement. The only WAG
I can come up with is perhaps they are to dissipate/prevent electro-
static charge build up.
