I might add that my advice is for everyone to look at
John Logan's fix and do it.
 
I survived two pin failures  one at 70mph with wife and son
the other a 10 mph while turning right.  I am still in the  process
of repair the car.
 
Maybe that's why I a little sensitive about the issue.
