I ran into a strange situation on a restoration project where sometime over the
life of this Tiger someone had rebuilt the generator. They had trouble getting
the pulley off and used a long punch through the back which left corresponding
bumps in the v-groove wherever they hit it. Take a look in your groove to see
if you have "bumps" around the v-groove.
Also, do you have the right depth and width of the v on the belt?
