Also note that a standard Gauze type 15 inch diameter 'Summit" brand
filter will work as well. Height will be dependent on whether you have a
stock intake or whether you have an aluminum one but with my Aluminum
airbox I have a 2 Inch tall 15 inch diameter unit fitted under the hood
squeezed into the stock filter lid. The 2 inch height permits a lot more
air over the 1.5 inch unit as you only have an effective 1 inch of
filter height due to the 'wicking' of the rubber into the gauze. The new
Brands seem to be paying more attention to this and seem to be cleaner
at the edge of the filter gauze.
