I dunno; it seemed clear to me in that (a) the X-shaped portion of the frame
was unlikely to be removed or replaced, where the crossmember could be and (b)
it is common to substitute "X" for "cross" as in -- for instance --
tigers@autox.team.net.
Your method seems straightforward enough and certainly cheaper than using
three hydraulic jacks like I did.
