Dave,
The 351W heads are frightfully obsolete. If you want an iron head that
will blend in w/the rest of the block, World products makes a good one
ready to bolt on for about $800, much less than it would take to build
up the 351s. Edelbrock aluminums are better still, for around $1000.
Good heads and a mild cam like the "Baby Crower" will wake up your
sluggish Tiger, which sadly to say, in stock form can't even keep up
w/the 4 cylinder imports.
Of course 288s are another problem.
