Dr. M.
A couple years ago at Seattle International Raceways, a clutch or
flywheel exploded in a Mercury Comet during a Vintage Race. The
scattershield saved the driver, but he lost control of the car and it hit a
concrete barrier on the straight. The car was special, as it was originally
campaigned in the 60s and I believe it raced in the 1964 East African Safari
as #73.
