Everyone:
A couple of days ago I made a comment that Tigers converted to a modern
alternator would be better off running the Mk 2 Tiger's 50 amp ammeter
gauge. According to Norm, there's no such thing from the factory, so I
figured I'd pump out a correction since there's already enough incorrect
information floating around:
If you're converting to a modern alternator you're probably better off
running a 50 amp ammeter gauge. Some of these gauges are (were?)
available with lettering that matches the Mk1 ammeter's and presumably
an appropriately recalibrated movement, from aftermarket suppliers. I
got mine off Ebay.
