Doug, This is a real brain teaser. I have never heard of these symptoms. Since oil is incompressible is even harder to account for the fluctuations. Could the pressure line be lying against the exhaust manifold and the oil boiling intermittently? Could there really be these pressure fluctuations inside the engine? I can't think of a plausible scenario inside the engine that would produce the symptoms you describe. Let us know what you find after checking the tubing and gauge. Good luck, Bob |
