It is not recommended to run a spool on the street.
Might have a bit of trouble turning corners.
The ideal is an air locker. When unlocked it is an
open diff. When locked, it is like a spool. Air lockers are
available for dana 44s. They normally come with a small electric
compressor and a small air tank to allow you to lock up at
the push of a button.
The 3500 rpm stall convertor ( rated for a Mustang or full size
Ford) will probably act as a 4000 rpm stall converter in a Tiger with
a hot motor.
I have a stock convertor in my C4. Not sure what the "stall" is
but I did plot the speed relative to RPM. The RPM must exceed 2000 before
the RPM to speed ratio is correct. The speed curve relative to RPM from 900
to 2000 looks like a capicator charge curve. After that the plot is
linear. This is in high gear.
