Bill,

Once you get the transmission out, take the time to check the bearing
retainer on the front of the top loader. ( thats the flanged cylindrical
part that the throw-out bearing rides upon ). I had a similar vibration
problem with my Tiger and when I pulled the engine/trans out of the car I
found that the tubular portion of the bearing retainer was broken off where
it joins the flange.
