Larry,
I've got those clear buttons, and it's pretty difficult to see the gas level
accurately. They must be removed for driving, as they turn yellow. I've found
it's just as simple to put a few paper towels on the intake, and just raise the
level till you can see it on the bottom thread. doesn't leak much, if at all,
providing you have a smooth idle.
