What is this "tigers" group all about???

Hello, everybody, I'm new to this listserv (only have been lurking for about 
3-4 days), but I'm totally puzzled about what "Tigers" is about.  I thought 
this would be a group about the big endangered cat, but it seems like it's 
some sort of group about cars.  But I've never heard of any car called a 
Tiger.

Sorry to be acting so naive to you folks, but I would appreciate it if 
somebody please tell me a little bit about this listserv.
