Regarding the bearing retainer, or front yoke, or snout, or whatever you want to call it, when I changed my Tiger from 5 to 6 bolt housings I had to replace the part. The replacement (Genuine Ford) had an interference problem on the inside, with the snap-ring on the front bearing. Double-check to be certain the snap-ring has a pocket to reside in. It is easily resolved in about 20 seconds on a lathe. Jim Leach, Seattle |
