Tiger Gear Shift

Hi to all from Australia
        Question? The gear shift lever in my Tiger and '66 Mustang fastback need
replating, has anyone sucessfully managed to pull one to pieces, the secret
appears to remove the reverse lock out lever.
        Also Brenda and I will be in the USA for 5 weeks beginning of March are
there any good Tiger meets on in that time, we will be doing a lot of
driving and flying in that time maybe we can catch up.
