In the UK, the Volvo 850 (now called S70 - saloon or V70 - station
wagon) comes in other exciting guises :-
850/V70 T5 - 225 hp ( T for turbo, 5 for 5 cylinders)
850 'R' - a 250 hp rocket ship favoured by most police forces !!! 60
comes up in around 6 seconds ! This one was develpoed to copy the car
they entered in the UK saloon car series ( British Touring Car
Championship, BTCC).
They have also now released a four wheel drive version with around
250hp. I think they are aiming for Range Rover and Jeep customers
judging by the adverts.
Over here there is an expectation that Volvo's are driven by older
people, but these models can give the boy racers a few suprises 8-)
I currently have a 3 litre V6 Puegeot estate ( 195 hp), given that
Peugeot is the current owner of the Rootes factory, does that make my
car a great grandson of the Harrington Tiger ??!!??
Anyway, you can get loads of Sunbeam bits in the back when you need to.
