Many of us in the US did not vote for this administration, and are=0Ater=
rified by what it is doing to our country and the rest of the world=0A:(=

=0A=0A Hi List, =0A I was born in the early 1960s in a rural part of the=
country and it=0Aseems within walking distance of one of many nuclear m=
issile stations=0Ahere in England. It was too soon for ICBMs so America=
had our friendly=0Aassistance in siting short range nuclear missiles in=
our country and=0Awithin striking range of the USSR - THOR (lots on You=
Tube and the=0Ainternet about THOR). =0A I was at school for the moon la=
ndings and only decades later visited=0Athe place where Neil Armstrong's=
famous words were first heard. That=0Aplace was not the USA but a Briti=
sh crown territory where the signal=0Awas received and then sent onto th=
e USA. The place was Ascension=0AIsland (at least one good fiction book=
was based on the island...). =0A I was an enlisted serviceman in the RA=
F where I saw one of the last=0Ab&w photos of a Russian bear that had be=
en live intercepted by a=0Afighter from my squadron. About the same time=
I saw a piece of rubbish=0Aconcrete that arrived in the mail for a memb=
er of the squadron - it=0Awas a piece of the Berlin wall. =0A The world=
order changed, the cold war ended and the world seemed a=0Asafer place=
and maybe for a while it was. Terrorist attacks continued=0Aaround the=
world and in various countries and still do. So I guess=0Athis is the p=
resent. =0A The future seems less safe and so I wanted to write this e-m=
ail. My=0Aunderstanding is that lots of honest (not corrupt) and good co=
untries=0Aare a friend of the USA. Also the good countries (think of NAT=
O=0Amembers as a starting point) have the same common enemies as the USA=
=0Adoes: Iran, North Korea, China (Peoples Republic of China) and Russia=
.=0AHowever I guess Iran and North Korea actually hate the USA and would=
=0Alike to nuke it and maybe one day they will try to, but not bother=0A=
with England/the UK or Europe or maybe just not have enough missiles=0At=
o try to do so. =0A The Ukraine has been invaded in part by Russia and t=
he only reason=0Athey haven't been totally taken over is because they fo=
ught back and=0Ahad help and support from the USA and Europe. The Ukrain=
e might be on=0Atheir last legs but in a different way so is Russia and=
they have both=0Apaid a hefty price to date. =0A If you think back to m=
y childhood where Europe was a willing buffer=0Ato help keep the USSR at=
bay who targeted missiles (now ICBMs and sub=0Adelivered) at the USA an=
d Europe - it was a policy that worked. =0A So what I don't understand i=
s why the USA would now be so friendly to=0ARussia. Call the Ukraine a E=
uropean problem and you might be right.=0AHowever, why be wholly on Russ=
ia's side who are propped up by North=0AKorea who have undoubtedly gaine=
d money and most likely warfare=0Aexpertise (nuclear and missile technol=
ogy)? Once Russia have what they=0Awant and so does North Korea, is the=
world a more dangerous place and=0Ais the USA less safe from rogue stat=
es than ever before? =0A Regards =0A=0A Daniel
