Ed,
I used to get chroming done for motorcycle restorations. Lately, two things
have happened. First, the EPA and OSHA have driven many chroming businesses
under. Second, many of the companies left in business do a pretty shabby job
of re-chroming cutting corners on materials, time and preparation.
