Side curtain cars used one type of hinge, roll up window cars used a 
different hinge. I think the hinges are the same but the early cars used 
a 1/4 x 28 pan head screw where the later cars used a 5/16 x 24 bolt on 
the door end of the hinge.
All used pan head 1/4 x 28s on the hinge to body.
So later hinges might work but with the bolts which might mean drilling 
a larger hole in the door where the rubber plugs go so you can get to 
the bolts.
