OK - I have fire at each plug. I made sure #1 was TDC
by checking timing mark on pulley was at center mark
on timing chain cover, peering in #1 and #4 sparkplug
holes, and pulling valve cover to see if valves and
rockers on 1 and 4 were both slightly loose and even.
All was good but looseness on #1 rockers. They were
tight and slightly uneven. the exhaust valve is
slightly down.
When you view things when the engine is in this
position - I have the Mini123 dizzy inserted, and have
rotated it clockwise until the green LED pops on. The
LED is at about 3:00. The rotor points to about 11:00.
When I snap the cap back on the dizzy, I have #1 just
slightly behind the rotor - at about 12:00. Then,
consecutively, in anticlockwise order, #3, #4, #2.
This Mini123 distributor has no vacuum advance,
thought the instructions that came with it describe
one. The I have the #2 curve (one for 1275s) selected.
I don't have a ground strap on the block. I'll put one
on right now.
Wireless internet in the home is awesome. I'm writing
this from the rear luggage rack. I'll post pictures if
needed. Thanks everyone! More help needed!
