Tube amps are silly unless you are a guitar player. Even then, modern
electronics are better 99.9% of the time. I know, "Nothing sounds better
than vinyl and good tube amps", hogwash.
Powerful bass reproduction is addictive. Cars that go boom boom have a feel
that you grow to like and miss if it isn't there. Of course this only
counts if you are the one in the car and controlling the music. Everyone
else's boom is just annoying.
The sound system's job is to reproduce the sound of the original source.
Whether it be Cello or Roland 808, you can EQ in too much or too little bass
or mid or high end or whatever.
