Nope...

The DC-3/C-47/R4D main landing gear was
never fully enclosed. Probably why gear up
landings in these aircraft were pretty much
usually successful.

However, I have obviously confused the
Super DC-3 with previous models. The
Super must have been the one with the
more powerful engines (makes sense, as
in "Super"!! doh!), squared off wing tips,
tail, and FULLY enclosed main landing gear.

Very few of the Supers made I guess.
