I often visited relatives up in Mason City/Clear Lake, Iowa, in the midst of snow. A girlfriend and I damn near got killed in a blizzarde outside of Columbus, Ohio, when snow piled up on the windshield and I had to stop to clear it off. But I had not been able to find the shoulder of the road when a truck came thundering down at me and just barely swerved out of the way to miss me. Oh, don't get me wrong. I love the snow. On the distant mountains where I know I can go visit it, but it won't visit me! Nope, I just don't do salt on the road, burst water pipes, snow shovels, chains, or all of the other stuff is unnecessary in life. Buster |
