I have my Holley mounted higher than the original SU location; and its
mounted horizontally rather than vertically. I have no problems whatsoever
with this installation. Maybe the line between the tank and the pump is
cracked? It doesn't take much of a split to let air in and cause fuel
starvation problems. Ask me how I know!!

new location. Fuel filter and lines are clear.
