Worst smell - driving through Nebraska in the late 50's, no AC, 55
Chebby wagon, all windows and tailgate window wide open. They're cookin'
Alfalfa in what looked like a damn rotating rocket booster on its side,
right next to the highway. The smoke drifting over the road smelled
worse than any of the stuff folks smoked at rock concerts in later
years. It would burn your eyes and last in your semses just long enough
to get to the next one in the next town.
Best smell - every year when we attend the Hershey fall car show and the
wind caries the smell of fresh chocolate over the flea market fields.
MMMMmmmmmm! Just like mom's kitchen when she was bakin' cookies.
