I think you've taken an absolutist position here in which the facts don't
support. MG-Rover is alive and well in the UK. And I imagine if you drove an
MG-F that the lineage would be apparent.
As far as the foreign ownership thing goes. that's a tangled mess that puts
Bugs and Bentley's or Dodge Caravans and SL Mercedes under the same roof.

I want some of that beer that you're crying in.
