Hey All,
For those of you who have expierence with Spitfires (or have friends who
do)......... My friend Sal is having a handling problem with his Spit. I
figured he's helped out a bunch of "us listers" maybe we can return the
favor. So - if anybody on the list can help, please get back to me off
list.
The Car;
1971 Spitfire
Symptoms;
The rear end wants to jump or bounce around left hand turns at
relatively high to moderate speed. It corners well around right hand
turns but the lefts are using up 2 lanes of roadway and he has to
"fight" the wheel. The transverse spring and all the associated
connections seem good upon inspection. Shocks are good. The car has a
stock suspension.
What should he look for? What mods can he make to cure the problem.
