And Bob, don't forget to switch around the windshield wiper motor wires.

Polarize the generator by taking a stout wire and arcing it from the
FIELD (small terminal) of the generator to the HOT side of the battery
(+ in your case if you are converting to - grd)
also, be sure to switch the coil wires. If the original coil is still
there, move the white wire from SW (switch) to CB (contact breaker)
And Vise Versa.
If it is a later coil, the white wire should go to + the white/black
should go to -.
Double check the heater blower too, I had one suck air out of the
cockpit. If this happens, just switch the wires at the heater motor.
