I knew a short cut? I had a local for a navigator? I jumped that big
ravine?
Or maybe my Speedometer was made by Smiths. >>

On the way up on Saturday morning, I checked my odometer against the (very)
infrequent mileage markers on route 309. I went 2 miles and the odo read 2.3
miles. Hmmmm, 15% high.
After the rally, my odometer read almost exactly 100 miles, and I know that I
only had one off course trip of a little over a mile. Kevin said the route
was 85 miles. Odo is reading almost exactly 15% high.
I guess that also makes my speedo 15% high, so I really was only going 60
when it said 70. Must be my Cooper tires.
