I believe it is safe to say that the Shah of Iran is a well known
person. For those of you who don't know, his sons are known as "Shan's".
Well as is customary of the area, the Shah had many sons and
unfortunately one of his many sons was an epileptic. As all the sons of
the Shah had bodyguards. The Shah saw to it that this particular son had
the little extra attention needed to survive by having that son's
bodyguards trained in how to deal with seizures when they occurred.
Things went well for many years with the son and many times found
himself more and more alone as the bodyguard, knowing the seizures were
less frequent, had a tendency to wander off. Then one day while the poor
Shan was alone he had a terrible seizure, and with no one there to help
him, he quickly suffocated and died.
THE SHAH WAS FURIOUS!!!!!!!!! He gathered all of the body guards into
his royal chambers and proceeded to verbally assault each and every one
of them. He screamed and yelled and threw temper tantrums. The stoic
guards stood there calmly but all harbored the fear of death in the
hearts for this unforgivable infraction. Finally the Shah calmed down a
bit and said to them all. "I just want to know one
thing.................
Where were you when the fit hit the Shan!!"
