With a modified engine (assuming yours is) you have to find out what ign advance suits the engine (usually on the rolling road) and then make a note of it for future reference. If the cam is non standard then the distributor ought to be as well. Have a read through the ign chapter in Vizard's book. If the cam is non -standard the idle will be higher than standard by virtue of the change in overlap. Daniel1312 |
