I converted 2 Sprites to wires without swapping the housings.
I never had a problem with the axles but the wire wheel axles are 3/8"
shorter than steel wheel axles. They do fit and are fine for normal
street use. That's NORMAL like in what jap jelly bean drivers do
everyday! Not Spritely driving!
My only wire wheel problems were, one stripped out, they are hard to
keep clean, and not worth a darn on the autocross track.
