Seats are from a Miata. This is a VERY popular conversion.

Slide button is a pretty good indicator of O/D, but to be really sure you'll
need to pull the tunnel cover and actually look for the OD unit on the
tail-end of the transmission.

Subject: [Spits] OD checking

The boy brought home a 80 spit the other day......

been sittin for a few years...... boy that owned it is gone..
Father sold it and not much known about car...

has strange seats in it.... speakers in the seats... look too big for car...

strange shifter... has a slide button on the top of it....

its in rough shape.... rust has taken its toll........

anybody know what to check for on an OD unit?

does the rear end also have to be swapped?

He's going to put the OD in his spit 1500 if it's any good....

I know the drive shaft is different....

Thanks......
