A Spit is quite light and is usually not driven much,
so it can take an awfully long time to wear out the
tires, even with a slight misalignment.  If you have
only
one shim's worth of error and you see no symptoms of
misalignment (like pulling or unusual war patterns on
the tires), it could be perfectly OK to just leave
things as they are.
