Martin, the stock regulator should not be sensitive to positive or negative grounding as it is simply a coil of wire around a bimetal element that opens and closes a contact based on current flow and this adjusts the voltage. I would think that if you have loads other than gauges on the regulator, you may end up with a contact that may eventall fail. Larry Ternowski |
