I discovered that the left caliper on my GT6 project has a stripped bleed
screw hole so I started looking for a replacement. I have two or three
more, but all of them are right. The local Advance Auto store has reman
units for $39.95 (+$20 core). I had them order one and it was a right hand
unit. They ordered another one and it was right also. The store manager
ordered two more and both were right hand. He tried to order a right hand
one to see what would happen and none were available.

I went to Auto Zone and they ordered one for $43.95 +$20
core). Unfortunately, they use the exact same source as Advance and all
the left hand units are really right hand. Today the manager ordered a
right hand one and the computer took it. Next week I will know if it is
really a left hand one.

If not I need a rebuildable left brake caliper. My other choice is a
conversion to toyota calipers or pay the much higher cost for a mail order
caliper.

If anyone need a right caliper I can tell you where to get a lot of them.
