Ken,

I had thought that you could 'mix 'n match' three rail trannies (from the USA 
'71&'72 Mk.IV's AND the USA '73 & '74 1500's) with the later 1500's, which came 
stock with the single rail.  I've seen the three rail trannies attached to the 
later engines... EXAMPLE: had assumed that it was just a simple matter of 
changing the later flywheel of twenty (?) splines with a earlier flywheel of 
twelve (?) splines... and of course the entire clutch assembly to match.

Anyway, know that's NOT what you asked, just curious if you've (or anyone on 
the list) any ideas about that.
