John,

You can probably do it without removing the wheel, although it may make
access easier (I've so far had the great benefit of being able to do this
with the car on a lift!!)  The grease nipple is on the inboard side of the
bearing, you should be able to see it just below where the driveshaft goes
into the hub (it may be buried under a thick pile of grease!).  There is a
line picture in the owners handbook (if you still have that), and there may
be a picture or photo in Haynes as well.

It is possible the hole currently has a screw in it - proper Triumph
instructions in the owners handbook are to swap the screw for a nipple,
grease up, then swap back again, but almost everyone just leaves the nipple
in place permenantly.
