I've been convinced to not despair. To have faith in the car gods and
continue to hope for beautiful days in an open sports car.
Huh?
That means I'm going to keep my spit and I have a solution for my motor
problem.
I've arranged for a used motor from John Smith (he says not to make any
jokes about his name) of Cincinnati. I'm planning to get the engine next
week. Lucky me. I have to go to Cincy on business anyway.
And after struggling with the many different ideas and opinions about how
to pull an engine without a hoist, I went to the local rental shop and
found out I can rent a hoist for $25. Well, that settled it for me. I'm
going to rent the sucker. I'm sure it can be done without one, but I don't
want to put people to trouble for the sake of $25.
Thanks to everyone for advise, be prepared to help some more and stand by
for updates on the continuing saga of the nameless spit in Tullahoma.
