Hello Folks:

International freight transportation for a shipment of any significant
weight is EXPENSIVE. There are documentation charges, customs clearance
charges, and the the per pound charges can be very high, particularly for
single shipments at published rates.

It may be worth it to ask your vendor about all options when ordering from
overseas. They may have regular agreements with certain freight carriers
that will allow you to take advantage of a cheaper rate. It just depends on
how creative they allow their shipping department to get.

Hope this helps.
