The older 1100/1300 tranny ("3-rail") with OD was exactly the same length
as the 1500 tranny ("1-rail") without OD.
After '72, you would think that they would redesign the cardboard cover
to be longer, so they could eliminate the extra metal cover, but NOOOO...
They must have had a huge stock of them or something....
