The gasket goes between the sender and the tank, the ring that tighten
the sender onto the tank makes contact with the back of the sender.
Please make sure the gasket is properly seal before filling your tank.
I found out the hard way it was not properly seal after filling the tank
when I changed my sender. Not fun.
