I had the same problem with a Formula Vee that I had rebuilt the master
cylinder on. The problem was that the brake actuating pin (plunger) was
staying depressed too far into the master cylinder which wouldn't allow the
pressure to be relieved. A very sharp crew member, who also is a Spit lover,
caught this and fixed it right away. He'd had the same problem with a
Spitfire and when I described the symptoms, he knew exactly what was wrong.
