Bob, et al....
maybe I'm missing the point here (no doubt that's the case <G>) but I allus
used to set up static timing thusly:
With the plugs out so the engine is easy to turn, turn the engine over at
the crankshaft until #1 comes close to tdc ('bout 10 degrees before) then
watch the points to see if they break at about that point.
Somebody educate me, please.
