So, I try to get my water elbow bolted back on to my thermostat housing
thingy.
The right bolt would not fit on whatsoever. It gets tight for a second, and
boom, loosens up. Argh. The threaded hole is simply too wide for some
reason. Wonder if it was from those overheating problems. So now that's
going to the machine shop to keep my bumper company.
Maybe this is a blessing in disguise. The gasket from the housing thingy to
the engine block(which doesnt seem to be sold by VB) was rotted out. Looks
like this wil give me an opportunity for more coolant-related replacement
parts, and never ever have to worry about the coolant system again, since
practicaly no parts will be original after this. Heh. argh. anyone else have
this problem? My car will be done by winter time if bolts keep snapping on
me like this.
